Any time is the right time for moving!
It’s easy to fall into being “too busy” to exercise. When work/life/kids/chores/etc steal your day away, and exercise isn’t a solid part of your routine, all of a sudden you just stop moving.
Sometimes we get lucky and get invited out for an afternoon on the water- in what we think are the best kind of boats- the non motorized kind.
Sure, pop culture makes it seem so luxurious to be on a yacht popping bottles of Chandon. But we’d personally much rather work up a sweat and get those muscles moving so we can enjoy our spiked beverages (almost) guilt free.
For us, fitness is far from being skinny and thigh gaps and washboard abs.. we believe being ‘fit’ means being able to carry out daily activities of living with ease and hopefully some grace.
You probably can’t tell from the picture, but the hydraulic massage table we’re carrying is heavy as heck: +150 lbs.
Ever been at the gym on a treadmill and wondered why the heck you weren’t outside?? I sure have.
Sure it’s convenient to just hop on and not think about where you are and plant your face in your phone or the TV, but it leaves lots to be desired.
Having an active dog gets me out and moving, not every single day, but most days a week we go on an adventure.
Amanda was lucky enough to sub for a dragon boat racing tournament on the weekend. She hadn't even heard about it until 2 days before.
Talk about strengthening the upper back and shoulders! All that rowing aka pulling, was a great way to combat all the pushing we do as therapists all day!
